Strategic Plan 2005-2006

Mission:
To strengthen and promote the professionalism of conservation district employees and effectiveness of conservation districts.


Vision:
A professional, diverse and highly skilled work force dedicated to the cause of conservation.


Goals:

Network & Communication
· Improve and maintain the NCDEA email network - 2/06
· Monitor and assist NACD with AVECTRA - 2/07
· Electronic, web-based contact update form - 12/05
· Redesign NCDEA website - 2/06
· Redesign NCDEA logo - 6/06

Professional Development
· Sponsor leadership conference bi-annually - 6/06
· Conduct a national employee expertise survey - 12/06
· Partner with a nationally recognized and accredited professional development organization to offer certification - 12/06

Representation and Partnerships
· Maintain and expand partnerships with national organizations - 6/07
· Have 40 states represented at the NCDEA annual meeting - 2/06
· Support and assist in the establishment of state CD employee associations or contacts - 12/06

Organization
· Finance committee will present a 3-year budget - 2/06
· The NCDEA Scholarship will be fully funded at a $10,000.00 level - 2/06
· NCDEA will have IRS 501c3 status - 12/05
· Two-thirds of states will have paid NCDEA dues by the annual meeting - 2/06
· NCDEA will have a paid Executive Director - 6/06
· Strategic plan will be reviewed annually - 6/06
